We believe that people should eat organic when out to eat
Before Organic Restaurants was founded, our founder's first pain was related to working long days & nights growing his own business and needing the right body fuel & food to power those work sessions. It was at that time that a wish was born within him to have some sort of directory or digital connection platfom where somebody could find takeout places or restaurants that offered organic food options.
That was 2012. From then until today, Organic Restaurants has gone through several optimizations, website optimization and user-testing with an end goal of having almost the same mission from day one which was to simply connect with ease, the people looking for restaurants with organic options to the restaurants that offered that.

Methodology
What it takes to get listed as a restaurant
We list restaurants that offer organic options. The more organic options that a restaurant has to offer compared to the items on their menu, then the higher the organic meter rating. Organic Restaurants has their very own organic meter which determines just how organic a restaurant is. Fully organic restaurants, which is difficult to do, would have a 100% organic meter where a restaurant that has only a few items on their menu would have a lower organic meter rating.
They key is that we don't want to discount restaurants that only have some organic options, but we feel it's the beginning of their organic journey and whether a restaurant has some or all organic options on their menu, our organic meter helps communicate that in a clear way to people looking for those types of restaurants with organic options.
Terminology
Sponsored, Organic Meter & Community Score
Sponsored listings are for qualified restaurants that sponsor a city or town to become top in their city results page. The organic meter is for communicating just how organic a restaurant with organic options is. And our community score is the result of all the reviews that a listing has accumulated over the years.
