One study found that the risk of developing the disease decreased by six percent for each cup per day increase in coffee consumption. The theory is that coffee may help your body more effectively process glucose.

Coffee Contains Antioxidants

Most people expect to find antioxidants in healthy foods, like fruits and vegetables, or supplements, but coffee can also be a good source of them. One study showed that they might be the biggest contributor to total antioxidant intake.

Antioxidants like chlorogenic acid, which is found in coffee, help reduce inflammation. They can also help protect against common chronic diseases. Antioxidants can even help fight obesity.

Coffee Can Turbocharge Your Workout

In moderation, the caffeine from coffee can give your workouts a bit of a boost. Researchers found that this can improve circulation, boost endurance, and even help increase your muscular strength in the short term.
