Pakistan
Pakistan is a very populous country in South Asia. In the next 20 years, it’s projected to become the largest Muslim-majority country in the world. The official languages are English and Urdu, and there are many minority languages. The terrain includes mountains, plains, and plateaus. The climate ranges from temperate to tropical. Native animal species include the fishing cat, the markhor goat, and the mugger crocodile. Pakistan’s economy has great potential for growth. Energy, banking, and services are significant sectors. The Mausoleum Of Sheikh Rukn-I-Alam in Multan is an ornate example of Mughal architecture. There are fantastic mosques to visit in Pakistan. If you’re really into antiquities, Moenjodaro is a remote but great archaeological site.
Rice, potatoes, and wheat breads like roti and naan are popular starchy staples. Typical vegetables include saag (spinach), eggplant, and bitter melon. A lot of meat is consumed here in Pakistan, especially goat, mutton, beef, and chicken. Aloo mutter is a potato and pea dish with tomatoes, ginger, and other flavorings. Try puri, a breakfast dish made of fried white bread and eaten with a sweet semolina halwa and/or a savory gravy of chickpeas and potatoes. Hit the sweet spot with som gajraila, made from grated carrots, boiled in milk, sugar, and green cardamom, with nuts and dried fruit on top.
