Harit Kranti

Description

Harit Kranti addresses the human urge to switch to organic farming techniques. In our constant effort to create a healthy living environment, we have excluded on usage of harmful pesticides and chemicals. Instead we lay emphasis on Panchatatvas such as Prithvi (Soil), Aap (Water), Tej (sunshine), Vayu (Air), and Aakash (Ozone layer). Prithvi: We take care of soil by adding adequate composts and manures which enhances the growth of microbes and improves the soil for good water holding capacity. Further, it helps in fixing nitrogen from atmosphere and also the carbon/ nitrogen ratio in the soil. We use less tillage practices which keep the soil healthy. Aap: We use water in limited amount with the help of sprinklers. Also the crops need more of moisture than water. We maintain adequate soil moisture that helps crops grow better. Tej: Maximum usage of sunlight ensures healthy growth of plants. The very reason helps us dry our crops under the sunlight. Instead of burning, we cut the grass and convert it into manures. Vaayu: With no chemical usage, we ensure that the air remains unpolluted and our crops breathe clean air. Aakash: With total organic techniques, we ensure that there is no danger to ozone layer. In addition to it, Harit kranti is a member of Maharashtra Organic Farming Federation (MOFF) as well as Organic Farmers Association of India. Also we are the producers of Jiwamrut which consists of Cow dung, Cow urine, Pulses, Flour and Jaggery. Manure when added to soil, increases the microbial population of the soil. It can also be produced in solid form and can be used on crops. Harit Kranti is a self sustained organisation which doesnÔÇÖt depend on government subsidies for its farms and organic farming practices.
