When Cafe Bon Appetit owner, J. Novak, was brainstorming ideas about location, he knew downtown Cleveland would be perfect for the kind of place he had in mind. With its culture, diversity, vast array of students, young professionals and locals, downtown Cleveland would become the home of a little place with lots of heart and soul. ÔÇï Novak's mission was to open a cafe-style restaurant that stood out from the crowd. Something hip, even soulful, but delicious, budget friendly and always fresh. Something Cleveland locals(and passers-by) would grow to love, and perhaps more importantly, a place the city can be proud to call her own. So began the story of Cafe Bon Appetit. ÔÇï As the construction project was coming to an end in the fall of 2010, Cafe Bon Appetit was ready to open its doors to the city and its wide array of characters: students and professors(many from CSU), musicians, actors, locals, passer-by(the list goes on and on). ÔÇï The cafe functions very much the way Novak had envisioned it: delicious, fresh and always budget friendly. On Cafe Bon Appetit's menu, you'll find many Mediterranean style wraps and sandwiches, such as the famous Spain wrap that sells for $5.99 or the Smoked Salmon wrap that goes for $6.49. The cafe also offers various vegetarian options, such as the Tomato Basil Mozzarella Sandwich for $5.99, or our vegetarian crepes starting at $4.99. The meals are always generous, with most items on the menu served with delicious side salads. ÔÇï If you're in the mood for something sweet, Cafe Bon Appetit's menu won't disappoint! The Sweet Crepes, many say, are "to die for." Of course, a cafe wouldn't be a cafe without the coffee, so should you find yourself in the neighborhood and in the need for a pick-me-up, remember to make a quick stop for a beautifully crafted cappuccino or a delicious mocha. ÔÇï The environment is welcoming with hip alternative music playing in the background( you'll hear everything from Amy Winehouse to Beirut), making it a great place to study and a fun place to hang out with friends and co-workers.
