The Mill Race

Welcome to The Millrace Organic Restaurant. All the ingredients we use are certified by either the Soil Association/UK Farmers & Growers, or similar international certifying bodies. Please feel free to ask our staff for further information or for details of our suppliers.

The motivation for supporting organics are varied; some support it for the sheer quality of taste, others because of the issues surrounding food safety and GM Foods. And then there is the huge environmental issue regarding intensive farming and the associated problems of animal welfare.

Whatever the reason, however, organic food seems to make sense and through The Millrace we wish to demonstrate that an organic foodchain is sustainable to the point of presentation onto the the restaurant table where, thereafter, restaurant neon signs good food can speak for itself.

The Millrace is also happy to cater for special diets but requires at least 48 hours notice. Particular requirements may be discussed with one of the cooks.

Please note that The Lounge upstairs is open for diners wishing to finish their meals in comfort. Coffee and drinks may be ordered there.
